Agia Kyriaki
Agia Kyriaki is a picturesque fishing village featuring an old shipyard, an indication of the very old marine tradition of the area, right on the edge of the Magnesia peninsula. It resembles an island village in its colors and architecture. Agia Kyriaki is ideal for relaxing, however, there are no sandy beaches in close proximity. On the seafront there are excellent fish taverns with fresh fish provided daily by the local fishermen.
The village has a small harbor where sailing boats can moor. However, there are no facilities for water refill nor power supply for recharging the batteries. During the summer months a moderate to frequent presence of sailing boats in the port should be expected.
Platanias (Skiathos)
Platanias is a lovely coastal village in the south-western part of Skiathos, and about 7 km from Chora. It lies in an open bay with beautiful beaches, ideal for a relaxing time in the sun. There is no dock in the area, so anchoring has to be done offshore. Also, there are no facilities for water and fuel refill or power supply.
Skopelos (Chora)
Skopelos, with its dense forests and deep blue waters, is probably the most verdant, and one of the prettiest of the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. This island is the shooting location for most of the scenes of the movie Mamma Mia. Skopelos Town (Chora) is the largest city on the island and has been declared as a traditional settlement, preserved unchanged over time.
It is very cosmopolitan with a large choice of taverns, restaurants, cafes, and bars along the seafront as well as in the beautiful scenic city. The port of Chora is large and well-organized and the marina provides ample mooring sites and facilities for water and fuel refill as well as power supply. Due to the popularity of the place, the maritime traffic during high season is quite intense.
Agios Ioannis
Agios Ioannis is one of the most famous coastal resorts in Pelion, attracting many tourists from Greece and abroad. The village is quite cosmopolitan with many taverns, restaurants, cafes and bars where the fun can go on until early hours. A long beautiful sandy beach that has been awarded with a Blue Flag extends in front of the village, while two more beaches, the Papa Nero and Plaka, lie in close proximity. At the north end of the long beach, there is a small port for mooring mainly for small vessels and yachts. At the dock there is infrastructure for refilling the water tanks and power supply for recharging the batteries.
Chondri Ammos
Chondri Ammos is a lovely small and tranquil settlement with a 0.5 km long pebble beach. It lies in a closed cove at the foot of mount Pelion, on the southern part of the Magnesia peninsula facing the Aegean Sea. There is a number of small, secluded beaches nearby, accessible only by sea. The place is generally appreciated, and a moderate number of visitors can be expected. There is no dock and anchoring should be done offshore. Also, there are no facilities for refilling the boat with water and fuel nor a power supply for recharging batteries.
