There are many options for a pleasurable stay, and nightlife styles to satisfy every preference in this lively port located at the foot of Mount Pelion. If you choose to stay for a day or two, you should definitely visit the beautiful traditional villages on the mountain.

Palaio Trikeri
“Palaio (Old) Trikeri”, is a very small island on the point of the Magnesia peninsula. On the isle there are fish taverns where you can enjoy fresh fish caught only hours before by the local fishermen. At the village there is a small dock; however, anchoring offshore should be expected as the most possible scenario. Also, it is best not to rely on this location for a power supply and facilities for water refill.

Skiathos (Chora)
Skiathos is one of the four major islands of the Sporades complex in the Aegean. The main city of the island (Chora) is a picturesque yet vibrant city with lively day and night life. It is a cosmopolitan destination with numerous restaurants, taverns, bars, cafeterias and shops. Skiathos is also famous for being the location for some scenes in the movie Mamma Mia.
There is an airport on the island with direct or combined flights from many European cities. The port of Chora provides mooring sites, but the maritime traffic during high season is quite heavy and there is always a chance that there will not be any mooring sites available. The port provides facilities for water and fuel refill and offers power supply.

Skopelos (Chora)
Skopelos, with its dense forests and deep blue waters, is probably the most verdant, and one of the prettiest of the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. This island is the shooting location for most of the scenes of the movie Mamma Mia. Skopelos Town (Chora) is the largest city on the island and has been declared as a traditional settlement, preserved unchanged over time.
It is very cosmopolitan with a large choice of taverns, restaurants, cafes, and bars along the seafront as well as in the beautiful scenic city. The port of Chora is large and well-organized and the marina provides ample mooring sites and facilities for water and fuel refill as well as power supply. Due to the popularity of the place, the maritime traffic during high season is quite intense.

Platanias (Skiathos)
Platanias is a lovely coastal village in the south-western part of Skiathos, and about 7 km from Chora. It lies in an open bay with beautiful beaches, ideal for a relaxing time in the sun. There are quite a few restaurants and taverns and a number of bars. The nightlife is rather relaxed. Platanias is an ideal place for tranquil days and nights.
There is no dock in the area, so anchoring has to be done offshore. Also, there are no facilities for water and fuel refill or power supply.

Milina
Milina is a picturesque cosmopolitan coastal village and a popular summer destination. The village offers plenty of accommodation and a variety of places for entertainment, as well as very nice beaches. Milina does not have a dock for mooring so anchoring has to be done offshore. Also, Milina does not provide port facilities for water and fuel refill or power supply for recharging the batteries. In the high season, a substantial presence of sail boats in this area is expected.
